The Amazing Spider 3 starring Andrew Garfield as the heroic webslinger was set to hit cinemas in 2016, but the title has been pushed back another 2 years so audiences will have to wait a fair amount longer before the follow up to the second film, which came out earlier this year.
The second film in the franchise, The Amazing Spiderman 2: Rise of Electro was released back in May, but didn't perform as well as Sony had hoped, despite raking in over $706 million worldwide.
